What's in Season by the Month

Produce is available at the Alachua County Farmer's Market (ACFM) every month of the year. During spring, fall and winter the selection is very broad, while variety is less during the hot summer months.

Your favorite vegetable may not be available every week because it is out of season or because none of the participating farmers have chosen to grow it. Certain items that do not lend themselves to the soil and climate of this part of Florida will never be for sale here unless the researchers at the University of Florida's Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences come up with appropriate growing methods or new varieties. If you want to know the seasons of particular crops, see below.

Of course this list is not a guarantee! There may be some variation based on what our farmers decided to plant this year and on weather conditions.

Check out what the ACFM has to offer this week.
